Soothing Sunburn Mask
Yogurt is a natural healer that works by reestablishing the acid/alkaline balance of the skin to help heal a sunburn. This recipe
provides some natural comfort.
- 1/2 Cup of Plain Greek Yogurt
- 1 Bag of Chamomile Tea
- 5 Drops of Grape-seed Oil or Flax-seed Oil
Steep and cool 1 bag of chamomile tea in a cup of boiling water. Strain the yogurt into a bowl through a cheesecloth or a paper towel for a few minutes. Add contents of a cooled tea bag to the strained yogurt and mix together. Apply the yogurt mixture to the sun affected area and let it dry for 15 minutes. After it has dried apply another layer on top. Repeat 3 to 5 times. Rinse off your face with cool water and then apply 1 to 3 drops of the grape-seed or flax-seed oil. The oil may be reapplied throughout the day. The mask itself may be applied 2 times daily until your burn fades.
